Equilibrio

"Equilibrio" é uma ópera rock de 2008 da banda holandesa Xystus que conta com a participação da vocalista do Epica, Simone Simons.

"Através da música ela é capaz de criar. Ela é a eternidade, Alpha & Omega, criadora de Deus e o Diabo, a Lady Sofia. E entre estes dois apostos haverá harmonia quando juntos.
"Equilibrio" é uma história epica que narra a jornada da procura pelo equilíbrio - uma jornada que leva o tempo que dura uma vida humana. Como personificação de cada um de nós, Diegu, o Viajante, experimenta esta jornada à procura do equilíbrio durante a ópera.
Após a trágica morte de Aveline, a Bondosa, o mundo inteiro fica desequilibrado. Primos, o Diabo, está furioso com a Entidade, e começa a destruição através de raiva e tristeza.
O Viajante sabe que é mais do que apenas um ser humano sobrecarregado pela tarefa da Entidade.
Depois disso, várias culturas e sociedades sucedem (são criadas). Durante a guerra que ocorre entre Primos e a re-encarnação de Aveline, Diegu decide ficar do lado de Aveline. Devido à uma triste combinação de eventos, ele acredita que é seu dever matar Primos. Convencido de que sua tarefa está concluída, Diegu então encerra o Primeiro Ato.

No Segundo Ato, fica claro que o equilíbro ainda não foi reestabelecido, a tarefa ainda não foi completa e o balanço ainda tem de ser encontrado."
